Kinky Liqueur

Kinky Liqueur

Kinky Liqueur comes in a curvy bottle filled with a bright pink substance that promises a bit of vodka with “passion fruit, blood orange, and mango” liqueurs. It’s a 34 proof liqueur (gins or vodkas which are 80+ proof), and I imagine it appeals most to those who will buy this to make Kinky-tinis or Kinky Margaritas. Wink, wink.

Kinky actually tastes pretty good, though.

The fruit flavor is natural and sweet. I imagine Kinky is already becoming a staple at brunches, maybe bridal showers, and it would taste great splashed in champagne or mixed in tiki drinks. This liqueur is really simple to mix, too, because all you need to do is adjust the vodka-to-Kinky ratio up or down in the recipe below, depending on the person’s taste. Kinky will run you $20-25 a bottle.

Outside of the fact that I was making myself a less-than-manly pink cocktail (which I embraced with all my being) I shook one of these up and actually liked the ghastly pink thing to the last drop:

Greg’s Kinky Pinky Drinky (sticking with the not-so-manly theme)

  • 2 oz vodka (I used TāKall)
  • 1 1/2 oz Kinky Liqueur
  • shaken and served in a chilled cocktail glass with an orange twist
